First Impressions
Being a budget offering, we were not expecting much from the Jensen JTA-230. Visually it has a straightforward design and would be at home in nearly any setup.
Listening Experience
Sound quality was about what we expected, though better than, for example the Crosley Collegiate which is nearly twice the price. However, being at this low of price range some units may be better or worse than others.
Conclusion
The Jensen JTA-230 was fairly good for a budget record player. However for a first time listener, we recommend paying a little more for a turntable which will show you what vinyl is really supposed to sound like.
